Oh on! While driving ABS Light AND Engine Light went on

Hi Everyone,
I have my conversion out of the driveway! It is done and driving! This is very exciting except that after driving around town this morning with friends a bit here, stopping, there, stopping, home, stopping, and back out to here, the ABS Light AND the Engine Light both are on. Not blinking or intermittent... just on. I was poking around some other threads here and found people talking about codes. How do I find these codes? Any initial ideas as to what may need attention or I should check? Shoot. This weekend was going to be a "driving around in my new ride" weekend.
Thanks!

With the ignition key turned on crawl around beside your bus looking underneath it for LED lights. If yours is like mine, the ABS controller is a device separate from all the other computers and it would have some LEDs to show its status -- for example, whether a wheel speed sensor is faulty and which one. In my rear-engine Blue Bird the ABS controller is a thin black box mounted vertically near the rear axle and can be seen just by looking under the bus from the side.

If you can locate the ABS controller, and if it has a set of LED indicators, there's a good chance those will reveal why the dash ABS lamp has been turned on.
