Transmission shifter/ID question?

I saw a 1999 rig for sale today that has a 10.8L Cummins and allison transmission.

The shifter is a "T" handle marked 1-2-3-4-D-N-R and has a "mode" button on it.

I have never seen that shifter before that I can recall.

Any idea what transmissions that was used with?

Thanks.

S.

I bet that "mode" button is for Sport mode for when you're on the track.

Yah, I figured I would use that when I go to the school bus races...

Seriously, I suspect that it does the same thing as it does on my MD3060. "Normal" and "Economy".

Any clue what transmission it could be?

Where's Christopher when you need him? Probably practicing duck and cover from Florence.

Florence is going to be far enough north to not effect Fla. much. We might actually see some aggressive weather here in No. Ga., but I doubt it will be much.

Mode button is difference between economy and performance mode. Same as your md3060.

It's not an actual shifter as in it moves a lever or cable. It's still an electronic shifter, just with a fancy handle. Essentially the same thing as your push button ones.

Look on the tag of the trans to determine the model. However, I've only ever seen that handled shifter used with md3060's though.
