Re: Two starting batteries?
Diesel engines work off compression. So they have a higher compression ratio compared to a gasoline engine. They use the compression and heat to "ignite" the diesel fuel when it is injected into the cylinders. Unlike a gas engine, that uses spark plugs that ignite the gasoline. So basically that means, it is harder to turn over the engine to get it started. You will want to keep both batteries for starting.
