I tried scouring the net and boy did I get a huge range from 150# to 1000#. Can anyone narrow this down for me??

Re: Weight of 1 wheel with tire??

I don't know how much the tire & rim weigh but I cleaned up and painted the rims for the Eagle. I believe they were the same size (got extras from the bus graveyard in Alto GA). I do know they are "freaking heavy" and I don't want to know the combined weight. I think that the $110 a year (Platinum Plus for 1 year of Coach Net) is a good price for someone else to heft those suckers. Beats a trip or several to the chiropractor!

Definitely getting someone else to shift them around!!! When we quit installing cabinets, I quit moving things that weigh almost as much as I did (I used to pick up and move a 100LB 36" Super Susan all by myself... it's called leverage!) and I refuse to try and shift something that weighs more than I do!

I do wonder how the repair guys move those things around? I mean the ones who do repairs on the side of the road. I wonder if they have a chiropractor on speed dial!

Actually (having been a trucker for 12 years) it's not that bad. It's easy once you get the rim on the center hub of the axle. I've helped a number of tire guys with blown semi tires. I can do my own, once I have the tools that is.....
