what motors came in this bus?

1968 ford 600 carpenter ,5speed w high gear,2bbl holley carb the guy said it was a 351 when i bought the bus last week but i cant figure out what motor it is i was trying to find the numbers on the block but cant see them there caked in grease and oil.ive been searching and found theres 3 or 4 v-8's that came in them.

i dont know buses well but i know fords. was probably a 331, 361, or 391. they all use the same block, but the bore and heads were different. essentialy an industrial 390 block.


but, hey, i could be wrong. (just dont tell my wife)

Do the pushrods go through the intake manifold? If sao, it's an FT (extreme-duty FE, basically), like Gromit said. Probably a 361.

Hard to say what you got, it's too old for a computer check. Give me the last 8 of the chassis vin and I can try and look it up in the Fische...
