1970 f650 with a 5.9 litre?
Is that a 390 or 390 FE?
Those parts should be fairly easy.
Jegs, summit, rock auto,LMC trucks. Most parts stores around here.
Ford dealer?
The parts for my 1977 ford 6.6 motor are still readily available.
Good luck

Ok it's a 360 FE engine.
Any of the places I listed can get you parts for it.
Do you know why it blew the head gasket?
Maybe got hot and warped the heads?
That's a small motor for a f650 LMC trucks has the motor mount upgrades for a 460 engine?
Easy swap in a truck that size especially if it is running the C6 tranny.
Good luck
Have fun

Thanks for the help, guys!

I wish I knew why it blew the head gasket. I bought the bus as-is, after it had been literally sitting in a field for 30 years. The seller got it running, and I drove it to *my* field about 40 miles away. On the way it started losing power and blowing steam, which I kept topped up. Hoping the heads aren't warped, but we won't really know until we get them off.

If it sat for 30 years, my guess is most of the gaskets and seals have simply dried out. Pretty common problem when they don't get any use for that long a period.

If you're replacing the head gaskets, do it right and have the heads gone through by the machine shop. They'll clean em, do a valve job, resurface, and have em ready for you to bolt on. All you have to do is make sure the block deck surface is clean and flat.
