Missing DPF? Exhaust leak? *VERY* expensive system to repair. Engine very similar to Ford 6.0 ("Bulletproofing" strongly suggested if purchased, at no small cost). More than one forum member bought one, had catastrophic engine failure on trip home. Run away!

I would only consider it if I was cannibalizing it for parts, or planned on an engine swap.

Avoid the 6.0L in Ford or International chassis. Also avoid anything with Maxxforce engines. Better to stick with pre-1994 models to avoid most issues.

There are 2 others I want to see.
2006 Ford E-350 , 148,000
Diesel. 5 tinted windows , no WC lift.
Getting more motor info.

The other said 5.7 vortec 2001
178,000 4 window tinted, no WC lift , recent school retired.
Did they stop using that in 99?
Will check when I go on Thursday.

Did they stop using WHAT in '99? I presume you are referring to the Vortec engine, and yes, I believe the Vortec LT style engines were dropped for the LS around 2000 or so. The good news about this setup is that non-EGR marine intake/injection setups are available to replace the original PlastiCrap manifold and injector spider. Check engine light may come on for the EGR, but you should be able to have the PCM re-flashed. The engines for those are actually rock-solid, it's the injector unit and intake setup that are crap.
