brake booster replaced

brake booster replaced

so im looking at a shorty that needs a brake booster replaced?
is this over my skill level?
would the bus be drive-able without it being changed ?

You just won't have any power brakes, you'll need a strong leg to get it stopped. I just changed the booster in my Dakota today,bigger PITA than it should have been. I wouldn't want to be in traffic with a bad booster in a bus. I would think it would be easier on a bus. Usually 2 bolts holding the master cylinder to the booster and 4 nuts holding the booster to the firewall or spacer, and a clip on the brake pedal to remove. Bunch of brake switches on a bracket in the way which of course could only be accessed from the wheel well after removing the wheel and inner fender well on mine.
If you can get the master off without breaking any lines loose, it should easily be in your skill level.
