Thanks for your experience on your Honda.
My sons CRV was the same and me being the cheap redneck I am I drilled a 3/4" hole in the plate and hand hammered and punched the old one out and new one in. The old school method once access was provided.
If you ever have a rear end/tire,shock, alignment or trailing arm problem then let me know cause I just went through that also and fixed all for 200$ instead of the Honda 4000$.
Good luck
Can't say that the van would work for me? You gotta pick what works for you?

Glad it helped. For the Honda fit, it seemed like that wasn't an option based on my research.
I need either a big van or a 4 window bus.
Specially now that I have another member to the family [emoji4]

The mechanics said it wasn't an option?
It took a little time to find a spot but it is there.
To do it yourself you have to keep in mind that there is always a different option?
I researched your fit before I did my sons CRV the body shape is the only difference?
Remember that when if you need to go junkyard hunting?
Need help holler.

What is a good computer thingy to read codes?
My local mechanic will probably charge me $50 min. I rather spend some more and do it myself.
Help a novice mechanic out guys !

I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works with a free Android app.
So far, no complaints.

If your vehicle has a OBD port you can go to just about any auto parts chain and they will read it for free and tell what the codes are. I would quit using any repair shop that charged to read engine codes.

Raul, this will get your codes flashing usually by putting a jumper in these spaces.
Then count the flashes on your eng check light. Codes are then googled if you have no chart.
$49.00 Canadian please, lol (cash only)

Personal engine code readers have become quite popular in the last year. Many on the market for under $20. Get the code and then the internet will tell you the fix.

Well, I have the drivewise from Allstate and got an email about the code. The world has become so advanced...
Seems like an oxygen sensor.
Probably not really something to worry about, but I might attempt to fix it myself.
As always there is the potential that I'll make the problem worst, lol.

IDK, probably. Most frames have holes for various things that may or may not come fitted to the actual vehicle.
Doesn't look detrimental to me. Looks pretty clean under there to me.

Yeah, I felt the same way. I just thought it was weird that they took pictures of that specific area.
Anyhow, it sold for 5k + fees.
