Detroit Navstart 190 fuel leaking- Badly

Hey there well the road has been very kind to us. We had to replace the alternator.. some usual stuff. OK here's the issue.

I have the international 444 190 rear engine AmTran pusher. The past few days it's been very cold, so wanted to run her a bit get the block nice and hot all that jazz. Noticed fuel leaking from the flywheel cover. Not a little I mean alot- like I idled to 2 hours and caught 3 gallons in a bucket. She's running fine, I crawled under took a look Yes it coming from right in the flywheel. Only happens when it running, when yu shut down it leaks for a little bit then stops. So there it is I know one of th great people here can help me figure it out. If you want some pics just let me know I'll get some.

Huh?

Detroit Diesel and Navstar/International are 2 very different engine makers.
The fuel leakage is caused by poor fuel hoses and especially the return fuel line at the rear of the engine near the trans. For the engine to continue running for a long time, the return hose is old and bad, disconnected or needs a new clamp. When diesel engines are running, excess fuel is returned to the fuel tank.
Determine the hose size and buy 10 feet and a few clamps. That particular leak is very common. While changing the return hose, check the engine for injector bipass hose leaks. Now is the time to replace all the hoses. Your road fuel milage will be much higher after hose change. Frank
