2001 Amtran DT466E/MT643

Just a general question, I have a 2001 Amtran 3800 w/DT466E/MT643 Trans, roughly what should the RPM's run @60 mph, I know it depends on rear axle, just generally what is everyone else's bus run? mine runs 2200 @60 mph, down hill with a tail wind. Can the speed limiter be taken off? Thanks

Mine had 4.44 rear gears and 295/75r22.5's. At 63 mph it was pretty much at 2400-2600. 2600 is redline.

In said bus, yes. 195 HP DT466. 1992 Ward Senator 40' FE bus.

I have the 195hp DT466E with MT643 and my max is 65 @ 2600 rpm. Cant remember my ratio at the moment

Probably 4.44 ish like mine was. Full size tires, I take it? If you've got 11R's then you probably have about the same gearing I had.
