Hello I have 2002 International 7.3 Governor is set at 55 is there a way to disconnect it or turn it off. Or is regulated through the computer? Thanks for any help
Stop by an International dealer and they'll likely disable it for you.. for a price.
Find the closest one to you and give them a visit (or call) and provide them with your VIN. They can give you all the build info and let you know if the governor can be disabled. It's also possible that the gearing of your bus is low and is bringing the engine up to it's governed RPM at 55mph, which is not something you'll want to mess with.

My wife is a bus driver they always turn down the Governors on the buses. I will probably try to ask a bus mechanic. Thanks for the reply
You're right, they usually do. My T444e is governed at 100kph or so. I'd be surprised if a bus mechanic had the necessary tools to reprogram the ECM - namely the connector and laptop with ServiceMaxx installed and registered - but anything's possible. Most bus barns order the bus with the specs, including desired speed limit.
