Best engine resources?

Hi all!
Just bought a 1984 Thomas short bus with International S1723/V392, 5 speed transmission.

Super excited about this new bus.

It's been difficult finding good info on the engine, transmission, etc. Trying to find manuals, and any good rebuilding info.
Thanks so much!

Sounds like that's the same family of 266, 304, 345, and 392 gas engines IH used up until around 1985. They were common in the Loadstar trucks, many buses and even the IH pickups. The manual transmissions were, for the most part, pretty durable. Good luck.

Thanks. Yes, it is the V392 gas engine from 1984, built in Illinois by Navistar.

Would you have a suggestion for who has a manual for the overall engine? Not sure if I should just get a S1700 series or? Appreciate your guidance, I need schematics on it to rebuild/fix some areas.

It's a three manual set. You can find it here https://www.binderbooks.com/1978-90%...s%20Trucks.htm under pn CTS-4209*. I found mine on ebay for cheaper but YMMV.
