DT 466 Wet sleeve removal ?

I need to remove my wet sleeves as I am doing a in frame overhaul but I cannot afford the expensive sleeve removers. Has anyone removed the wet sleeves using a more economical means? Please share with me how you did it or how I can do it. Thank you

I've been thinking about buying just the plate for the OTC puller and then using a bar with a floor jack. Not sure if it will work and the plate is like 100 bucks.

If you have access to some simple tools or a preferably a machine shop you could definitely make one. Just google homemade liner pullers and you'll get plenty of ideas.

I had thought about this when I was considering a 466.
I looked at some different types of sleeve pullers and one type was an expandable rubber sleave.
I had thought to try: a piece of thick walked rubber hose about 1/4 inch smaller than the bore with a steel circle at the top and bottom. Thread a piece of allthread through the bottom with a double lock nut at the top. As you turn the allthread it would squeeze the rubber out and grab the sleeve.
To extract: some sort of cradle that the rod would fit through and then use a nut/washer combo to turn it out.
It may not work, and I haven't tried it, but it was knocking around in my head after seeing something like it
