Yeah and i bet its the liner o rings that went if i had to guess. Coolant maintenance is the essence of being in a bus, particularly one with wet sleves. Sca's are important. I just flushed my system and refilled with the expensive CAT coolant. I have a dt466. Ive seen coolant neglect or naivete ruin more engines than oil issues.

We're hoping for O-rings instead of sleeves. Then maybe we can get away with replacing them instead of a rebuild. We used heavy duty coolant with SCAs and I believe the school bus garage did as well. I hate it cause I had just put 5 gallons of new oil, new oil filters, and 2 gallons of new coolant in it. All down the drain now. Not to mention we JUST got the tags and insurance the same day it happened!

It was the O-rings!!!! Seems that they were damaged and pinched upon insertion because one was just hangin' around not even attached to anything. The rest are pretty hard and brittle from overheating.
