DT466E Mileage over 817mi : 8.97MPG @ ~53MPH

Fully Loaded - Gilroy to Burning Man and back.
30' 2001 International/AmTran

Went out 80 (flattest way) but back on 89 and 50 (steeper).

See trail here:

https://aprs.fi/#!call=a%2FKK6OQC-10...000&tail=36000

The engine is a 175HP model - trans is an AT545 (yuck)-

As others have said, going faster than this speed just turns things in to an air-brick- a solid, measured 9mpg is nothing I can complain about.

Next trip... 60MPH!

Sweet! I don't know how many miles that is but that isn't the worst mileage I think!

I just got back from a trip to Rockport Texas from Minnesota which is about 1400 miles each way and I got roughly 8mpg on the way down loaded @21k running 60ish mph at 2550 rpm. On the way home empty @16500 running at about 57 mph at 2400 it was about 9mpg.
I need an overdrive!

Hmm- I'll stop by the scale next time I'm rolling around to get a weight-
I'm guessing I was at ~17500lbs

And re RPM, at ~53mph I'm going 2200RPM
