DT466E Water Separator

So the list shows my DT466E uses a fuel/water separator. I have the old fuel filter off, but can't find the water separator anywhere on this motor, anyone know where it is located?

Mine is conventional as well and it sits horizontally on the passenger side, near the front of the engine.

For those of you that use a 3403 fuel filter, I started checking prices and see them generally in $15-$20 range. I went on eBay and saw a NAPA filter for $8.90. I called the local NAPA store after getting a quote of $19.99 at O'Reilly's and was told that filter is on sale right now for $8.90. I went ahead and ordered 3 of them at that price.

I'll go back and look for my separator on the FE.

There is, on the passenger side of the motor, a 12"tall vertical oil filter under the turbo, and a horizontal filter under the alternator. I don't see anything that looks like a separator.

The separator will be on the frame rails. Just follow your fuel lines back to the tank. The horizontal filter on your engine is the coolant filter.

Did you ever find the water separator?
