IHC DT refilling the coolant??
I tore my bus apart to install the new defroster, Dash A/C and heat.. and electronic heater vslves under the hood...
in an attempt to curb the amount of coolant that would land inside the bus when i pulled the nasty bergstrom box out I use the heater booster pump and pump out the coolant into a bucket until it wouldbt pump any more..
I got a 5 gallon bucket FULL of nice bright green coolant...
inside when I pulled the heater apart, I soaked up probablt another 1/2 gallon as I pulled the heater lines apart...
im installing 2 brand new heaters and reconnecting my rear heater and then i have 2 new electrically actuated heater vales under the hood so I can turn on and off my heating with a switch at will..
what is the best procedure for re-filling my cooling system and working the air out? I figured id first open up al;l the heating valves and then turn on the booster pump and then start pouring coolant into the bottle at the top of the radiator... then im thinking I start the engine and keep pouring it in till i cant anymore and then put the cap on and run it till it starts to warm up??
I want to make sure I dont end up with air bubbles caught in the system.. I know if there are air bubbles the temperature gauge will lie to me..
are there certasin procedures for refilling a DT360/466 other than what i described?
I have 6 bottles of new SCA pre-mixed pre-treated coolant so i dont have to add the additives..
