same here, I fig it doesn't make much sense to make roof uber thermal when the entire bus is skirted in single pane glass. ive got a new trailer with xtra roof ins package and still gotta park under a tree in summer and search for sunlight in winter. besides taking seats out. just trying to pinpoint a place to start.

Are you leaving the metal paneling inside?
I'd still insulate it as everything will work more efficiently that way.
THe new paneling you put in after that would feel much cozier than metal too.

Then there is a certain appeal in just leaving it "a bus" and using it as a rought camper/utility rig.

The floor is a good place to start either way.

I know is a pain to remove the ceiling panels, but is worth it. I would start by removing the ceiling before the floor, that way you don't destroy the new floor while doing the ceiling.

Hey Eastcoast, by removing the ceiling will the structure of the bus loose strength?

Pulling the interior panels affects the structural integrity not a whit. And pulling the panels down are easy- just unscrew, no rivets to deal with.

Also pull your side panels, and get rid of that insulation as well, plus it'll be easier to seal where the stop signs were mounted

I def plan on adding insulation to floor and sides. Leaving ceiling panels in and adding to it. This bus is rust free no leaks in top. But do plan on coating too on outside as well.

No, not by any appreciable amount.
