Mechanical DT466 - OBD (or similar) port?

This might be a dumb question seeing as it is a mechanical engine, but is there an OBD port or other diagnostics type interface that I can pull data off of? Or is the International instrument cluster all I get?

It is a 1997, mechanical DT466 with MT643 transmission.

If it's a dt466 and not a dt466e then there is no computer. Are you sure it's fully mechanical? I'm thinking in 97 you'd be electric. Anyways, you can add all the gauges you would want to it, so I'm not sure why you would need a computer or obd scanner. What kind of data are you wanting to read?

It is a mechanical for sure. DT466 not DT466E. Absolute last year for them. As for the data I want to read, it was more of a seeing what my options are more than anything else.

Standard International dash cluster. Tachometer, speedometer, air pressure, coolant temp, oil pressure, battery voltage, fuel level.

Looks like this guy: http://modulemaster.com/rebuilds/wp-...ernational.jpg

Unhappy

What you have is a real man's diesel engine. Be thankful of what you have and man up. Just kidding. You have one of the last mechanical DT466 engines and the preferred transmission. Why do you need a puter for?

I thought 1997 was the last year for the mechanical DT but someone on here had a 1998. Maybe they had an extra engine laying around.

Heh. To be honest, the question was inspired by that nifty little display with MPG and everything on VanHool's build. A plug and play solution for that would be nice, but putting in manual gauges for transmission temperature and such work well too.

Huh. I had always heard 1997. Might have been a '97 engine?

Probably. Definitely wasn't a California bus. I think they had DT466E engines starting in 1995.
