usually those pulleys are pressed on.. when I did mine I needed to use a puller which wouldnt have had clearance in between the pulley and the radiator shroud.
its usually dangerous to hammer on a pulley to dislodge it.. you can crack it or bend it. if you have a rubber mallet and its not pressed on too hard it might pop loose by removing the center nut and then tapping on the back side while rotating.. but I wouldnt use a rigid hammer or beat on it hard.. mine was on pretty good but came off easy with the puller..
