ok, currently I have two PowerVolt Maximum High Voltage batteries (threaded posts) marketed by PowerVolt Batteries in Dallas Texas... I don't see the CCA rating on either battery, but they were bought February 2011.... so, I figure that's a pretty good run... for batteries!
I priced 2 Group 31 Interstate batteries at $119.00 exchange, plus tax.
Then I priced 2 "Pro-Series" group 31's @ 101.00 exchange, plus tax.
Also, I priced ONE 8D battery for $164.00 exchange, plus tax.
What are the drawbacks of using one 8D, instead of 2 group 31's?
I've got plenty of room for an 8D.
This salesman said if I run two 1100 CCA batteries in 12v series, I get 2200 CCA... does this sound right? I don't think so.
Tomorrow, I'm going to call
Truck Pro and
Fleet Pride diesel equipment warehouses and find out their prices. My diesel mechanic buddy seems to think each of these places will hit around the $89.00 mark for Group 31's ... Santa Claus likes the sound of that!
