You'll have to contact an International dealer with the VIN# to get more info.

The Gates VIN Decoder doesn't mention CNG.

Are you sure you want CNG? It's either diesel or CNG, not both.

On online auctions, they're often listed as diesel/cng as they were available that way. Something to do with folks not knowing much about buses. They're secretaries tasked with describing mechanical things in a listing.

THere is a tag on the passenger side valve cover that will clearly show which tune it has... But good luck getting an auction seller to look at it!

Gotcha, yeah don't want that. I'll stick with diesel...hopefully they have more info on tune/trans/vehicle condition and I can get some pictures.

Best of luck man.
A 444e isn't my first or even second choice for an engine in a full size bus. But if its a 230hp version with a better transmission than the 545, it would be alright.
If you're not planing tons of miles or mountain driving the 545 is *adequate*.

I was hoping for higher hp tune with good tranny, otherwise the main bus ive been searching for is a shorter tc2000 (10 window)
