Most Powerful Cat Alternator?

Anyone have any idea what the most powerful alternator is available for a 3208 Cat engine?

I'm getting ready to order up a 5K/60 amp inverter for Heavy Fuel, but need the proper (and more powerful) alternator than the stock one on her now.

Any insight is gratefully welcome!

Thanks for the help!

M

Upgrades are usually available for most alternators. Not sure off hand what the 3208 uses in a thomas bus. Figure out if what style you have (delco, leece neville, bosch, etc.) and then someone can help you with an upgrade.

Hopefully I'll know by this afternoon when HF comes out of the shop at Rush. I'm suspecting it's an AC Delco, but I could be wrong.....
