I hope that fixes it. That was a lot of oil splashing around!
While not good long-term, I found that gorilla tape helped me mend a hose when I was traveling - until I was able to get a replacement at the next O'Reilly's (they have bus parts for some nice reason!).

Journey on!!

And now time to officially finish this one off.....we made it home and a big thank you to the Skoolie.net community. After we got the hose replaced and tightened a couple bolts on the engine we hit the road and had zero problems for the next 850 miles and all the way home. We didn’t use any more oil or hydraulic fluid and cruised at 70 mph in 6th gear at 2050 rpm. Average fuel economy was 7.25 mpg. Fuel economy was certainly better in the 60-65 range but I was tired and just wanted to get home....thanks again!!!!

Nice work! Getting a bus with 6th opened up is well worth dealing with an oil leak.

That first drive home in an unfamiliar bus is a nail-biter even if everything goes well so consider yourself properly initiated! I'm glad it was cheap and easy to fix and having #6 open is a real plus.

Same problem

I had the same problem with my 92 All American RE, only on the other side of the system at the reservoir. It effectively saturated my entire back windows of the bus and I would imagine anyone driving behind me. Easy fix though, replace all the hydro lines...like you had to.

Awesome-o u made it home. I was going to say I bet your tracker was well lubed, that will help that GM product to not rust away, just leave it on there HAHA.
Nice to read that orileys has bus stuff, I didn't know that but I will keep that in mind.

Most garages that service commercial trucks will have the ability to make up simple hoses or will know a shop that can. There also franchise businesses that do nothing but make commercial hoses. There are several here in the Dallas area. I got mine from the local GM dealer shop.
