Where is the engine on your bus? In front of the coachwork, or buried under the cab like a van?

sure sounds like a turbo leak.. can you get any of that sound by brake torque the bus when its stopped? or is it only when you are rolling?

could be a rear end going out if its a WAIL From that area and you cant even get anything close to it when doing a brake stand spool up..

I always think of turbo leaks as a whistle or a 'ssssssshhhh!!' type sound...

it's over heating still. New thermostat. Me water pump. The temp gauge swings up to 240 and back down to 200 real fast. Eventually it stays up and it needs water. I can't find a leak any where.

Is the wail gone? Did you purge all the air out of the system when you filled with coolant?

Make sure coolant isn't getting into the oil.

The wail is gone. It was bad boot on the turbo. Purge the air?

It was done at a shop, so I'm guessing yes. The mechanic was good. He tightened up other issues too
