Installing the overhauled 5.9 with the Rebuilt AT545 firmly bolted on
It took 5 months but next Friday awaits...

I sure feel better knowing you'll be riding behind a fresh drivetrain. Unfortunately, reliable drivelines kill some adventure and McGyver moments.

We are looking forward lots of miles with the comfort that only a hands on ownership mental checklist can give you.
And being able to fix it if it breaks!
Hopefully, it will run good right out the gate so my focus can change gears and get my wife out here to the shop with a roll of masking tape and her sketchbook.
I am enjoying the hell out of this.

The secret
On a Blubird TC 2000 with a 5.9 Cummins and a AT 545 together remove the right side engine mount and hoist in engine. ( or remove)
This will cause great happiness to all near and far.
Replace mount, bolt both sides down and install front mount.
Go home early and drink beer.
The picture with the hoist is holding up the front of the engine after the 2 rear rubber mounts were snugged and installing the front mount.
Could not get that engine installed picture to stand up
sorry.
Now , the "El grande" punch list. Wiring, supplemental trans cooler, hook up trans, driveshaft etc...
The kind, wherever you look, you see something else to add to the list.

I agree that this site has changed, overrun with the busbug people.
Nice pics. for alotof people I guess only pictures of the finished project are interesting and not the how much work it was to get there. Then people do not take the time to appreciate the documenting and pictures of a thread. Not very motivating.
At last this must be the last site that is unable to post pictures in the correct position. It discourages people from putting pics up..to much work...or maybe the site does want to limit the bandwidth?
