you just rotate the Body... i did exactly that in the one drag car i had ..

I had a tach but I never looked at it when running, just the shift light and the redline light..

the only needles i glanced were oil P, fuel P, and trans P. in dragging temp didnt mean much.. the 3 I looked at were mainly in case i busted a line, to know to shutdown in hopes of avoiding a fire..

plus in Small block chevy it was possible to bust an oil pump drive rod since the Distributor drives the Oil Pump instead of vice versa.

There's a drag semi good for 200 in a 1/4mile. He uses a jet engine but it can be done.

I've seen that. Not a very realistic vehicle. Still, it's impressive to see something that heavy move that fast.

Because a top fuel dragster makes a great grocery getter/soccer van? Hell, no race vehicle of any type has much in the way of practicality.

Or like going grocery shopping in a bus? Some people think that's not realistic. I like being able to look in the refrigerator while I'm putting away groceries and go back into the store if I forgot something.

I think I might loose my water if I was in a 200 mph truck, but yeah they're fun to watch, hear, feel.

All of my gauges work. The fuel, oil pressure, oil temp, and coolant (???) are all on a single multi function gauge. It also has the typical car range of L and H. That, while it works, has got to go!!

I want individual decidated gauges. I'll end up with something like the pics you posted. Because of my advanced years, I prefer analog gauges so it'll look like some off the Wright brothers' airplane. I used a dual analog from an aircraft supplier in the FrankeinB (RX-7/.
Yeah I love old school analog gauges too.
I'm partial to the old VDO stuff.

Actually, nothing beats a bus for garage sales.

Nothing more badass than daily driving a bus! I owe it to you for inspiring my DD shorty.

I wanna get more folks driving shorty's en lieu of pickup trucks and stuff.
I'm for as many of us saving them from the export market as possible!!

I am all about taking my bus out for my daily trips.

This one is a little bigger than a parking spot - but that is part of the charm.

Once I put the floor back in - and get the basic paint job done - I will be using it for all my errands!

There is nothing like a bus for hauling building supplies and keeping them dry in rainy Oregon.

I can park my RedByrd into 2 end to end spots.. I prefer to park out at the end of the lot and go diagonal across 4... which is how I park at hotels unless they have bus parking.. which a great many hotels and restaraunts I go to have bus parking.

in Touristy areas you can often park a bus for free too.. since redByrd has all its seats and a bit of Bling.. its assumed in florida that its a tour group of some sort and gets rock-star treatment..

the regular hotels im either working at or staying at know me and often the Bus draws attention..

once you get your Bus painted and drive it around, it will get attentioin and people will often High-five you for rockin a Skoolie.. at least thats been my experiences in the 20k miles ive run the busses this past year..

There's a Prius driver somewhere cussing NOT under his breath at you right now. Especially if your grocery store is less than a mile and your bus is more than 35'. But that's ok. I don't mind pissing off Prius drivers.

What the hell is wrong with your driving skills and/or bus?!? Mine fits in 2 spots end to end with about a foot and a half over hang on both ends. I haven't measured it yet but I assume it's 40' bumper to bumper.

I hate all of you guys!! A tiny house sounds good but who wants to drive ALL of their stuff everywhere they go? Now I'm thinking I'll need a second shorter bus as an RV away from the RV. I really gotta find out how short a flat nose can get. At the very least grab a scrap bus for a trailer and/or shed. Somewhere on CL some dude was using a shorty dognose as a chicken coop. The gf is all over that one. Steel shellbuild some boxes under teh windows but off the floor, build a 6"-12" gunwale along the edge of teh aisle, add some drains and hose that sucker out. Open the window sin the summer, close them in the winter.

The Tractor Supply chicken coops in a box are almost $300 and only 8'x6'. I can beat that with a bus.

Why not a short conventional for a daily?? Its got everything easy to get to and they're CHEAP. Can find em as short as 5 rows.
If I'd known how nice my lil $1700 bus was gonna be I'd have bought the entire lot of them.
A shorty with a 466 would be the ULTIMATE.

I just ran across a DT-466 Mechanical shorty here in columbus this morning...
its a 94 with no marking on the hood cowl and has a split rad, sounded like a 466... (still in school service).. little blue-bird 6 window..

im thinking all the 466E's had it marked on the hood... it was pre-95 since it had the older style Blue-bird dash.. but the newer style door.. so im guessing 93 or 94...

for an ohio bus it didnt look rusty.. I might have to talk to my neighbor about that one.. I didnt know they had it.. its got to be aging out.. but then im guessing they keep it because it probably runs like a champ..

Aesthetics; I don't like the looks of the dog noses. The shorties it's not as important but the flats have the steer wheels behind the driver. Easier to make turns.
