Throttle conversion

I have a '93 Bluebird with a Cummins B5.9L. While the bus and engine runs great the acceterator pedal is the worst I have ever ran into. It feels as if the return spring is designed for lifting an elephants behind.

Does anyone know of any known issues with this system? How about a kit to convert it to air or electric. Any help is appriciated.

Air throttles are also very fussy. Take the time to carefully check your throttle linkage and locate any places that need some lube. If possible, weld, and make some changes that change the linkage leverage. Drill some new holes and make the linkage operate more easily. Change the return springs. Return springs are usually about 1 inch diameter. Maybe relocate the spring. The previous owner wanted a stiff return spring. Keep making changes untill the pedal feel is good for you. Frank
