No walls here! Only hundreds of miles of mother natures finest deserts and mountains in between.

How very excellent! Big Bend is one of my favorite places on planet Earth. When you get some free time, check out an area known as "El Solatario". Seems almost no one has heard of it, but it is a bizarre and gigantic, megastructure just northwest of BB Park. A series of concentric rings about 11 miles across that are visible from space. Very different! Very cool!

Enjoy your stay but keep an eye out for El Tigres and roving banditos.

Big Bend is a wonderful place to visit and I would think to work at. I have camped, hiked and biked much of it. I always enjoyed my visits and found the park fascinating.

It is the only Nat'l Park in the USA with its own self contained mountain range. A real gem and neat that it is one of the least visited parks.

Less people makes for more solitude and all.

Make sure you take half a day and go to chisos basin for the rim trail. I went back in august and it was beauitful

I've hiked some of the back country there for a week and never saw another human. It was great. And keep an eye out for fossils. They seem to be everywhere. But what I really go there for is the night sky. Closest thing to being out in mid ocean. Almost like being in space.

I went there on a spur of the moment trip because I had 3 days off in a row. Drove 9 hours after work and got there at 2am, stayed 2 days/nights, and left on day3 after a 5mile hike...totally worth the 18 hours of driving even though I only had about 60 hours spent at the park including my sleep.

This is one of my favorite parks in the country and I want to go back with my similarly sized bus. I'm curious if you think a bus like this could do most of the back roads/campsites? The last time we were there, we were in my Tacoma and just LOVED the remote camping.
