And as I type this I'm walking downtown towards my favorite coffee shop row.. we have 12 in about a 1 mile stretch. Nate moved out of Ohio and it left us once again 10-15 degrees above normal... so walk n sip. Coffee-code-crawl- Monday for me!

I love that!! It is nice to be able to sit in the bus pretty much any where to enjoy that cup of coffee!

I do a lot of that on my trips .sit in the bus wherever I feel inspired.. coffee, work, etc.. in a city in the country , I can run a whole network in my DEV bus, had that one out this weekend and it got me through a tough code project

Less that 14 days!!!
Time is moving quickly
Closing is now Oct. 24th - that means I will be full time bus living in just over a week.

I am still fighting the heat in the Tampa area - It's so darned hot here - 90s during the day - about 78-80 at night . I bought a roll of reflectix - and found that if I wrap the windows on the sunny side (outside the bus) - and open the windows on the other side - it is pretty tolerable.

There is a sale at IKEA in the area until the 19th - so I splurged and bought a dresser and countertop - and a cool little sink. So for about $250 - I was able to get a nice size counter and some storage - all inspired by the WanderWoman bus!

I will take some better pictures once I clean it up a bit.

I LOVE the IKEA stuff!!! awesome! I have alot of it in my house.. it looks great in a bus too!!..

the Sun will be your summer nemesis wherever you travel.. even up north.. as we have longer days in summer up north than the south does.. east of the mississippi even up north you will encounter humidity as the summer gulf air comes up.. yes we get hotter and more humid in ohio at times than does much of the coastal areas of florida..
in summer in columbus the sub is above the horizon from 6:00am till 9:00pm or thereabouts.. daylght itself is even longer.

staying west and in higher elevations in summer helps with the cool air but the sun is STRONG where there is no smog and such.. you will need methods of shading your bus.. awnings for the windows?

of course in winter the sun and those bus windows are your friend.. it will get nice n warm inside even when cold outside..

after the equinox in the fall, the days are longer in the south than in the north.

This totally works - a few 90lbs magnets -and a roll of Reflectix (2' x 10' pieces) - but I will have to find something more practical for the road - this stuff is great.
It really keeps the heat away. It does make it a little dark - and that might be a good thing

I am looking into an awning - that would make a huge difference.

I need to find somethingfor the DEV bus for when im driving.. inside.. I need to get some reflectix and put it on the inside of the windows on really hot days to help out the Air-condtioner..

is reflectix finished on the edges or is it fiber-glassy on its edges? I could totally magnet it up on the inside..

I dont like dark spaces so id take it off when I was working in that bus.. but leave it on when its parked empty or im driving into the florida heat...
bright = positive - im a positive mindset person.. I like bright and open... except to sleep..

the Redbyrd I just need to instal a dashboard Air-conditoner and I'll be set..

There are a number of solar reflective window films available, and you could google "solar shades"

I have some small pieces of Reflectix cut to fit the inside windows - The edges are fine - like silver bubble wrap - only a bit more rigid. I was using those the help keep some of the heat out - I've been experimenting with all sorts of things. It works well - of course, less well than on the outside - wrapping the bus is amazing! But I only did it for today to see the temperature difference - the high was 92 again today - so parked in direct sun is rough.
I do have a sun shade that I can attach and use as an "awning" - that works well.
