Not yet, but its heading that way soon I reckon. I have been holding out hoping for a work assignment nearer that area that would let me cut away to work on it, but they have been keeping me in the South East the last few months, Georgia mostly.

I did! I think every bus in that auction was a Thomas conventional with a Cat motor (I assume you were watching the auction). Cat pricing doesnt scare me....because I work for Cat

Drove it almost 350 miles home and it ran like a dream! In saying that....my wife isnt convinced by a 28ft bus after we made our plans for my first bus (40ft), so we might end up putting this one up for sale and beginning the search again!

had a scare with my 444E where i thought the Head gaskets were blown!.. turns out my air compressor went bad and was pumping air into the cooling system and blowing my antifreeze out the cap.. ( and any weak hose clamp it found..)

Yep I was watching that auction but only out of curiosity on what they would sell for.
If I had not already bought a bus, I would have likely bought one.
I see the seller relisted some again for lack of bids or maybe bad bids, etc.

Greetings from Tallahassee!

Hello, fellow Floridians! I'm currently a brick-n-mortar girl but hope to be bringing my first bus back to Tallahassee sometime next month. I've already experienced support and camaraderie from the Skoolie community (thank you, EastCoastCB and Elliot Naess!) and look forward to sharing resources and a few of my own adventures. : )

I was talking with the auction guy when I was at the bus depot and he was telling me that one guy bought several buses and then bailed on the deal. Apparently the school district was pretty mad with the auction company (a one man outfit). Kind of felt sorry for him, although he was a pain to arrange pickup with, so maybe that played a part in the buyer bailing from the deal.

I have an offer for a place to park for work trade on Islamorada. I'm currently in Richmond, VA. My bus is far from livable and it's just me and a budget plugging along on it. Hoping to get down there ASAP. I'm wondering if it's better to have it registered in FL or VA..

Hope to cross paths with some of you guys soon!

The dog is a nice match for the interior colors.

Cool, I love Dogs but being single I don't think I could be around enough to take care of one.

At least you love them enough to know that!

One of the dogs out at my bus was rescued. The PO kept a LARGE dog in a TINY crate in a tiny apartment by UCF in Orlando. The crate was bent and bulging, the dog couldn't even turn around or stand up in it.
The day I meet that PO I'm honestly gona punch him in the face. If its a "her", then its on Roxy to do it.

THIS!!

I love dogs enough to know I could never have one and treat him right... my travelling lifestyle and being busy would not be fair to a dog that would be stuck alone in the house or hotel when I travel as im the Opposite of a Homebody.. im out and about all the time...
