Everyone traveling around Florida should search for Water Management Districts. There are always a few places in each district that allow camping for free up to 30 days. A lot of the locations just allow hiking, boating, fishing but it's a cool opportunity for solitude and an alternative to State Parks.

https://floridadep.gov/water-policy/...ment-districts

You just have to take time to make an account and request a permit and you're good to go. Almost all will be a boondocking situation by the way.

We get our bus on the 13th, so it won't be ready in time most likely, but we'd still love to come. I'd love to meet some of the Skoolie family.

Is this Tiny House festival run by the same group that did the Virginia one recently?

We are often in Eustis Florida in the spring boating on the Harris chain of lakes. Would be neat to bring our bus down there, it should be ready by then.

I've me the folks at those tiny house things and I prefer bus-only company.

Eustis is an ok place to live. We like it here mostly, except the occasional spat with the city about a bus in our yard or something.

The music at the one in Virginia was so loud it hurt. Seems very out of place for the event. Some quiet folk music or similer would be fine but not blareing rock.

I've been looking at some rusty buses up your way. Looking for a good running but rusty and cheap parts bus for an engine swap.

A local junkyard ( Leon's)has a lot of buses, but mostly older ones.

If you up this way stop in, we would be glad to see fellow skoolies.

I went to that event last year. It was tiny and there were only three skoolies there. Hopefully more show up this year. I'd go if my bus was ready but that's a while away unfortunately.
