Re: Food that you love

I remember the restaurant. I remember Dad getting the plate of it. I don't recall eating or playing with it. Funny how memory works out.

You girls called them rubber bands! Chewing on the little tenticles... almost as funny as "I'm young, I'm foolish and I'm happy".

Re: Food that you love

I forgot about radishes. I really like them.

Let's talk about meat.

I like ham- Baked, boiled, fried.

Pastrami - on pumpernickel with mayonnaise

Hamburger - any way that you can imagine to use it. My mom used to make this stuff in a pan with hamburger, tomato sauce, corn, and peas, with mashed potatoes on top. It was very good.

Boudin - Black sausage made from pork and other things (it is also known as blood sausage). I know it may sound gross, but, it is very popular with the French Canadians. I am one of that tribe.

Ham Hocks - I make a real good meal with black eyed peas and ham hocks.

Italian sausage - Hot is the stuff I like.

Beef hot dogs - I like them with mayo on a bun

Pork chops - I love them

I must say that although I do like corned beef and steak, I cannot eat them because I have muscular dystrophy which makes it hard to swallow food. Occasionally I will partake in eating steak. However, I cut it into very little pieces.

Breakfast link sausages and patties - yum

Bacon - on anything or alone

Turkey - grilled, broiled, fried

Chicken - same as turkey

Deer meat - There are lots of hunters where I am. I have had many different parts of the deer meats. It is good.

Hard salami - great stuff

Goat - Yes it is weird. I have eaten goat. It was good

Rabbit - Yup, it tastes like chicken

Squirrel - tastes like chicken too

I have not eaten dog or cat, but I would try it.

Next, I will make a list of seafood.

I have been to many Philipino house parties where there was stuff that I never knew what it was. Also, when I was overseas in the military, I ate stuff that was unknown to me.

Re: Food that you love

Tonight we are having "Daddy Burgers" as the girls call them. Grilled hamburgers always taste best.

Tomorrow for Mom's Day, we are having a "tater-free" Snowcrab & Shrimp Boil with coleslaw. Vanilla ice cream with mixed berries on top for dessert.

I forgot to buy taters. But I do have the corn on the cob in the freezer.

Re: Food that you love

I went to the Chinese buffet last night. For $7.50, I filled my takeout plate. I ate some last night. Today I am parked in an RV park. It is only $25 a night. I have electricity.

I heated up yesterday's Chinese buffet. It was good.

Re: Food that you love

A simple recipe:

I made this one up. It sounds weird, but is quite tasty.

Dice three or four cloves of garlic. In a skillet, put a half stick of real butter. Heat it up just before it starts smoking.
Put in the garlic, and brown it.
Put in a can of corned beef hash.
Mix it while the mixture is is heating.
Take the can of peas that you have drained the liquid out of, and mix it into the pan.
Turn the heat on the stove off when you put in the peas.
The heat of the pan, and the coolness of the peas renders the final mix ready to eat immediately.
I like black pepper so I will put it on this mixture.

It really is yummy, but that is just my opinion.
Try it if you dare, and tell us if you liked it.

You need to leave a review of the campground... don't forget get to mention the good and low priced chinese buffet and directions to it from the campground.

I like to do my camground review topic title by state, city, then the name of the campground. It seems it would make it easier to locate the campgrounds that way.

Re: Food that you love

The Chinese buffet was walking distance from the Walmart in Sikeston, Mo.

The RV park was in Jackson, Tn. I do not remember the name, but it was 1/4 mile off the 412 highway.

Could the RV park that you stayed at in Jackson be called.... "Jackson RV Park"?
And the Chinese Restaurant was called.... "China Buffet"?

I do like the internet.
