I've seen bad reviews of most of the solid state coolers as being power hogs and not that great at cooling
I have a kooltron, its the size of a beer cooler can plug into 12vor 120, and it heats as well. we had it for about 10 years not problems and well used. i agree it maybe be a bit of a power hog on 12volts but like anything else you just work with it. handy unit.

I like the sound of the kooltron. I do have a hair mini fridge that came with the bus. I'm pretty sure its nasty since the bus was infested at some point. I'm not yet sure whether to try cleaning it up or just to get something else. There were mud nests everywhere as well as rat nests.
