Houston Area Bus Nut Gathering???

Howdy All --- this idea has been floating around a couple of threads for a while now so I thought maybe we should start a real one.

Seems to be a number of Bus Folk in the Greater Houston area, so...how'za'bout a little informal get together at RE:HAB Bar on the Bayou. Say...next Sunday around 3? Not room for a bunch of buses to park but from this first get together, maybe we can work out something more elaborate.

RE:HAB is on the banks of Little White Oak Bayou at 1658 Enid...which is also the corner of Enid and Link Road, just a short block off of I-45.

Just chime in if you are up for it or feel free to suggest any alternatives.

You know I'll be there Tango. Trying to get Greycoyote to ride along with me. Looking forward to it. Do you know if the guy is still there making the BBQ sausage sandwiches. They were great.

There is usually BBQ (and kickass free live music) every Wednesday (Honkey Tonk Hump Night) and whenever they have a special event/party thing going on.

Just checked their events page (re:HAB Bar on the Bayou) and it looks like there's a big Soiree on Saturday. A KPFT (Pacifica) fundraiser with 7 bands & BBQ..then a new band on Sunday that cranks up at 4pm. And the weather for Sunday looks great...so far...but hey, this IS Texas.

Hope to see a bunch of you there.

Hey M...You must have been the "Limo Driver" a couple of folks asked me about but I had no idea it was you. Sorry but I must have just missed you. Hope you can make it this Sunday. We will very likely be there for a while.

I'LL SAY IT.....The re:HAB BAR is a great place to put a few down and talk Skoolie to good people. Thanks Tango, for the heads up, and to everyone that came. We WILL do it again, and hope that we will have others join us.
Chris and ECCB....we will give plenty of notice, in hopes of attracting a Fla. convoy. It will be up to ya'll to contact the states of Miss. and La. to ask for better highways thru their states.
I want to add that I hope that none of the Fla. fires have been a issue for anyone, and that everyone is safe.

Was great to finally meet some local Skoolies face to face and chat bus stuff! We missed you folks who could not make this round but hope to do this again sometime soon. Heck, I'm up for this on any given weekend.

Just say when!
