Long term in Austin, Texas

Long time follower first time poster. Hey guys, my girlfriend and I are moving to the Austin/San Marcos area for grad school in a few months. We’ll be living in our 1983 MCI9. I saw an article about a guy out there who did a conversion and was living on someone’s land paying 100 bucks a month in utilities and rent. Anybody know how to find a deal like that? Also, if someone says you can use their land, how do you go about hooking up to city water/power/sewage?

Those services have to be available...if your spot is not within city there won't be city utilities...you may be able to connect to landowners utilities
