Re: The Photography Thread (photo-heavy content!)

I am so sorry that I have not been keeping up with this thread. And I must also apologize for the missing images in all of my previous posts. I have changed photo hosting services a couple of times over the past couple of years and many of the photos I've shared on a number of websites now have broken links. I think I've settled on a site for now.

Anyway, here's some recent stuff:

Foggy sunrise north of Ocala, January 2013

Morning fog in trees north of Ocala, January 2013

Ocklawaha River at Sharp's Ferry Bridge, Ocala, April 2013

Historic Ocala National Bank building, downtown Ocala, July 2013

This was from the winery at Linville Falls, NC

you can eat them but they are very concentrated, the smaller the grape the better(no extra water in them) grapes in store taste a lot better for a snack, to go with your wine

also I drive through Mars hill when I go to Asheville(big customer there)

Hah! Small world.

We stayed with another couple in a little cabin on Fox Creek Road up in the hills. It was beautiful at night. I'd never seen the Milky Way until that week. (I've always lived in big cities, or never had a chance to walk out in the middle of the night and look at the stars.)

Once my project is complete, one of the places I want to see again is the Biltmore Estate, but next time during the winter.

Re: The Photography Thread (photo-heavy content!)

We haven't been to Biltmore in years...we talked about it last weekend, love the place and the gardens and winery are great fun...the $60 each ticket price is a little steep but it's worth it to enjoy an entire day on the grounds

keep us in mind for when you go, it's only a couple hour drive for us

Don't forget the additional cost of any of the separate tours through the hidden areas of the house. And lunch.

Anyone planning to see the place more than once a year would do well to purchase an annual pass. I forget how much those are, but it pays for itself after only two or three visits.
