Never trust the mileage on an International without verifying it somehow.
That said looks like a nice bus. Lower headroom, but a raise will take care of that.

Sweet bus. I'd dig deep and find out all I could about the engine. Its not rebuildable without pulling it.

That must be why the husband is so stuck on RE, he says this CE isn't a deterrent but he's heard RE are easier to work on... what are the going prices on a machine like this ??? She sounds pretty, starts right up, has plenty of power, I could snag her right up for 5k I'm just hesitant the above retired IC is 2,500... I'm just window shopping but eagerly itching ... I like the white bus .

W wouldn't pay more than 2 or 3 grand for the white one.
Its front engine, so its gona be the hardest to get at. I like FE- its what I have. But they're not the easiest to work on of the three.

The IC bus looks like a pretty nice bus. It has a much better engine than the white bus with the Cummins.

With a white roof, tinted glass, A/C, and yellow wheels I would suspect the bus has a lot of the options that were available back then. It most likely has the 250 HP engine and it might actually be the 265 HP or 285 HP. Regardless, it should have plenty of power.

If you can get if for under $3K it would be a real bargain. Under $5K it would be a good price. Over $5K you are getting into the not such a good price range. Over $6.5K and you are into the "you have got to be kidding" price range.

The price is 2,500, it's an old maintained local school District bus, THANK YOU FOR THE HEADS UP!

I'm the high bidder on a bus right now. My decision was mostly due to the tires being nearly new.

My 92 has ratty tires. They got me home, that was all I hoped for out of them.
Since its gonna mostly sit a lot, especially during the conversion process, I'm not too worried about em. I'll grab some new chinese tires once its further along and I'm using it for more than tool storage.

Best of luck to you!

Be forewarned- as large and unwieldy as they are, they're addictive!

My thoughts are ... you're on the same auction as I am. I'm bidding on Lot #142.
