1999 International 3800 wiring Diagram for Interlock

Does anyone have a wiring schematic for a 99 international 3800 with a dt466 or know what the service manual might be called or titled?

Interlock help

I am looking for the schematic to disable the interlock as i got a bit over eager and cut the wrong wire and now the bus is not running. I am working on repairing what i cut but it would help if i had the schematic.

Lol. Sorry, just funny: The long wire

Well, that long wire is important. It is a treasure map. Follow it and see where it leads.....

Don't nobody never get no wiring diagrams or schematics for the lockouts. I think it's part rites of initiation, part IQ test.

Is your bus front or rear engine? does it have a wheel chair lift?

I don't have any diagrams for your bus? But to me? Safety switches are there to protect you and your passengers. Whether it be two or 60.
I can understand wanting to remove one hear or there in a custom re-build but I would start by finding/disconnecting and maybe even jumper wires in the main panel to figure out a final solution at the beginning point of the wire and not at the long end? The ordinal start point is likely a removable/plug and play connector which gives you room to plug and play befor cutting wires anywhere?
Which in my mind leaves me with spare wire's that can be repurposed on both ends for the voltage they were intended for of course.
Good luck and I learn from my experiences and I never wanted to play electrician but life either requires you to learn it or pay for it?

One reason for wanting to remove them is that the bus won't start if the emergency doors are locked. That means you have to go around and unlock them all before you drive, and lock them again to secure the bus at stops.

Having so many emergency exits is not quite so important with only a couple of adults on the bus and not 70 children.

I was watching some riots on tv when I noticed a bus being attacked by the mob. The bus couldn't go fast because of the mob in front and individuals near the back of the bus simply opened the back door and entered. Not a good day for a bus driver.

I left the interlock intact on this bus. When I get a bunch of lumber or something stacked in the bowling alley, at times it's quite difficult to get to the back door lock to disable the interlock. Having not installed any deadbolt locks yet I tie my red emergency exit door handles with paracord from the inside. They're unlocked but can't be opened from the exterior so I don't keep having to lock and unlock the rear doors at every stop I make while in town. They open easily from the inside when I pull the string. No more forgetting and leaving the vehicle unlocked. Not perfect, but cheap and effective.

It's a good system, but can still be a PITA.

A local in a small town who didn't want me there, caught my bus on fire.

Burnt up the back end. Rewired it but now it won't start. Need the schematics to figure out the safety system so I can reinstall and get her running.

Thank you very much! I found it. Driver's side under Steering wheel and left side dash, but above heater. That is quite the tight fit to get under there.

I blew my transmission going through a town called Canadian Texas. Some really nice folks rented me a tiny home while I was saving up for a new transmission and figuring that out. I had just ordered the transmission when the fire happened.

I have put in all the work myself to convert this and I put a new transmission in as well as a remote hyper cooler and new transmission fluid temperature gages. I even saved up enough money to buy a blue fire digital dash
.. But now the fire happened and looks like I'm gonna be stuck here longer.

The fire happened in the back of the bus but it got so hot that it melted almost everything including the the Ignition wiring and parts inside.

I managed to do some housekeeping and handy lady work for some folks in town to save up enough for a push button keyless keyless Ignition. I just finished wiring that in Day before yesterday but now she won't start. Before the fire she started right up. The fire burnt both hatches and and all the wearing.. I purchase new wire To go all the way around.

In a heap of melted wire Mess I was able to sort out most of the wiring. I even found number 57 and 14.

I just don't understand, yet, how the interlock system works. Does it need to be connected together? If I get a toggle switch or something and wire that in, would that satisfy the interlock? Or, if I connected a wire from one side to the other side would that satisfy the interlock?

I have not seen the hatches switches yet but it almost looks like a Micro switch in there.

I'm usually really good with electrical but I'm so overwhelmed with everything that has happened I feel like I'm not thinking clearly right now. Any help would be would be a blessing

Roof hatch wearing diagram

Before the fire the back door was bypassed bypassed an alarm was disarmed, and the the chaos were disarmed as well. So I think it's the roof hatch that is causing the issue

I got the bus started. Have a leak on one of the fittings but they should be an easy fix.

I got her to shift thru the gears!!!

Smooth as butter!!!

Thank u! I probably looked like aa crazy person when that happened! I was laughing and crying historically at the same time.

Thank u to everyone for their help!!!
