Alliance DP batteries for house batteries?

So trucker friend of mine sold me 2 new Alliance AE7T31 dual purpose batteries that I plan on using for my meager house battery bank. I plan on paralleling them and adding a 2000 watt inverter. Are these batteries ok? Thanks

A brief search on that name & number indicates those are starting batteries. They won't hurt anything, but if you let them get discharged much they won't be very long-lived (as compared with a deep cycle battery). Depending on what sort of deal you got for them that might be just fine.
