Battery University website, everything about batteries

This is an extensive website with entertaining comments section also
https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/...tery_knowledge
I did not know the original lead acid batteries with wood cases and rubber separators apparently had long lifespan. There’s some hypothesis that carbon particles from the rubber may have lengthened the life. Someone may know but apparently they are not saying. I’m not saying there is a conspiracy.
I do not work for Cadex or promote their products.

Good 101 level orientation, intro to the jargon

However often overgeneralizes, pretty frequent outright errors but rarely all the important.

Do not use as if a final authority on specific implementation issues

Yes, “almost everything about batteries”. For specifics on particular battery always refer to the manufacturer specifications and charging/discharging parameters.
The Trojan Battery company has a nicely illustrated booklet on batteries.
