From what I recall, they made it illegal not to be connected to the grid and illegal to produce your own power.

Oh wow, I get it...

They don't want anyone to be able to sustain themselves and live "off the grid"

They made it a law that you will be a dependent, no matter what technology you may have learned

could be worse, I guess......

Arkansas law:
It is unlawful to walk one’s cow down Main Street after 1:00 PM on Sunday.

Arizona law:
When being attacked by a criminal or burglar, you may only protect yourself with the same weapon that the other person possesses.

Idaho law:
If a police officer approaches a vehicle and suspects that the occupants are engaging in sex, he must either honk, or flash his lights and wait for three minutes before approaching the car

Iowa law:
One-armed piano players must perform for free.

Its not illegal to produce your own power in Fl.
My ex had a $60,000 solar setup and got a monthly check from FPL.
It IS illegal in Florida to habitate anywhere without being hooked up to electricity and water. That's been a law forever and most local gov'ts have similar ordinances.
