Heads up on a Electrical plug problem developing.

On conventional bus's with the fiberglass tilting hood.

The previous owner of my bus told me that some times the headlights flicker off and on. They had changed the floor mounted dimmer switch and still same problem.

I thought just a short etc.

I pulled apart the electrical connection from body to the hood. 18 wires in and 18 out.


All of the inside was blue, green ,rust and flakes.

Beware. This can be costly. I can't find a plug and wired direct

A real negotiating point if you pull it apart while looking to buy..

That sucks about not being able to find a replacement harness. Maybe go directly to ford?
Would you post a pic of your hood and front end.
i have an 86 B700 and would like to change to a fibreglass tilt hood design if i can make it work?
