Help me ID a switch!

Can someone help me Id the silver toggle switch on the end of the right side dash. I have an International Amtran FE, 2001. I've seen the switch on many a pictures of the dash, and my bus has it also, but there is no labeling to id it. What is it and what does it do? Circle in red on the attached pic.

Not a clue yet for me.
Try operating it when the cabin area is pitch dark.
Could just be a switch for something that got removed. radios etc.
Probably better to try to trace it. See if it's energized with 12V+ dc, then if it is, operate the switch and see if power continues through it. Pull fuses or breakers till the power drops out.

If you have an air door, it is most likely the release for it to manually be able to push the doors open and closed...

That is the emergency release for a power door--whether it is electric or air powered.

When flipped to the off position you can open and close the door manually.

Thanks for the help guys!

@joeblack5: that is the self destruct button.

LOL that's just too funny!

In gutting the bus for the last couple of weeks I think I figured out what it does.

Absolutely nothing. The doors "were" air operated, but I had an emergency release valve above the doors that allowed them to be opened manually by releasing the air pressure. When I started tearing out the associated air valves and cylinders above the door, it looks as though alot of it was jerry-rigged from some sort of repair. There was welding to door frames, disconnected wires and switches, and other parts that looked out of place. I tried flipping the switch several times but nothing ever happened, so I think it's safe to assume it was disconnected at some point and I can remove it!

......for all the help!

I have a few of those "absolutely nothing" switches as well, I'm slowly making them do things...
