Did you forget to reconnect a ground wire perhaps?

No buzzers for gear selection. It just won't start if in gear position.

What bus do you have? Go to the UserCP and fill out your profile with your bus info and location, makes it easier on us to answer your questions. My back up light sand buzzer are on separate circuits.

I had the opposite problem on my '87 IH (it was originally a manual trans, at some point it was converted to an automatic, presumably an AT545). Something about the switch being hydraulically operated when in reverse...

On the manuals (at least the last one I worked on) the switch was more mechanical in nature, pushed in when shifted into reverse.

Did by some chance one of the wires get shorted or connected or grounded?

if it is a 545 tranny? then it has a pressure switch for the backup lights and if the lights are staying on in all gear selections meens the switch is bad or hung up but either way bad.
cheap and easy to replace but does not cause a buzzer.
need to figure out what your buzzer is indicating and for us to give better/more specific advice? We need to know what you have as far as year make model engine transmision.
need you to help us to help you better
