My switch board won't work
Hey so today I play in my switch panel and didn't take off the neg of the battery now nothing works fans, dome light wipers etc. I did see abit of sparks when a small wire touched the body of the bus. Could I have fried all my fuses? Or the box and how do you tell if it's fried??

little silver cubes are circuit breaker- like a fuse, but reusable. Some cool and work again, others have a button.
the thing labeled "seat" has a square automotive fuse in it.
Label wire that sparked in diagram and someone can help.
green wire w yellow spade connector floating around??

That round thing over there on the left... that's your solenoid to power the stuff. Make sure you are hearing a "clunk" when you turn the ignition on coming out of it.

A solenoid is just a remote switch. These particular ones are capable of handling many amps and are normally switched "off" until energized. Buses have safety interlocks on stop sign, door, escape hatch, etc to not let driver start bus until he closes the exits.
There is a a bunch of safety conditions that have to be met before starting and if you remove some "stuff", she no go, as these are designed to be driven by housewives (at least out by me).
You can bypass the safety solenoid (search: won't start). There are other solenoids on the bus- starter, wheelchair ramp, etc. They are all designed so full power does not need to be run all the way to driver, small wires can activate the big switch far away.
Pick up a multimeter, hook black to clean ground on bus and poke around with red, unit set on DC volts. keep notes of what you find- is like a treasure hunt for electrons.

my bus has 2 hot leads from the battery. one goes to the starter, 1 powers everything else.
i once hooked them up wrong, and i could start and run the motor, but nothing else. i was installing new batteries when i did it wrong.
use a big fat wire to jump the solenoid, and see if you get power then. if so, pull the solenoid and replace it.
looking close at your picture, it looks like that solenoid feeds power to those fuses.
with the key on, all 3 posts on that solenoid should be hot.
trace back the little black wire on the solenoid and see if you can find out where it gets power.

You haven't even mentioned what type of vehicle you have so lots of guesswork. My guess is there is another fuse block with larger fuses and one should be ignition which is marked on the red wire you are holding. it might be in the 40-50 amp range and likely is blown.

It will be much easier to troubleshoot with a meter or even a voltage testing light 5 bucks at Walmart and you will probably use it a couple times during a build 😂 Since you were just messing with all that wiring I would suspect that you either got a fuse or have a loose (or missing) connection. Start by finding where all the switches in your panel are fed from. Mine are all just on a power source block that is fused but they may be individually fused or run through a relay before. Either way just follow one of the circuits back with your meter or light until you find 12v. If you lose it across a relay make sure that you have 12v on the coil of the relay or replacing won't fix your problem. Trace down the wires to the coil of that relay it is probably fused as well. Hope this helps I just gutted excess wiring out of my bus and was able to remove all the safety devices with no ill effects nothing about the way mine was wired was fail safe so if yours is the same you should be able to make it work! Hope this helps.
