No start after removing A/C units

Hello!
I have a 1990 Thomas built bus with a Ford 6.6L and a 5 speed tranmission.
This was a former church bus and had large a/c units above the seats and below the bus. I removed these units along with all the wiring because it didnt work and took up too much space. All of these units were wired to 2 sets of relays in the engine bay. I figured all of these relays were controls for the a/c. These relays were labeled as r1low, r2high, r3cond, r4comp on both sets, so i started pulling the wires out of the relays. Today i went to start the bus and it just clicked. Voltage on the batteries seems good, and im not sure if somehow pulling these wires out interrupted a starting circuit somewhere. Does anyone know if these relays in the engine bay would control starting? The other thing im thinking could be a culprit is that i unbolted the vandalock units from the rear window to remove the linoleum, I did not cut any of the wires, I just left them hanging. I put them back and it appears that the vandalock is in the correct position, but still no start. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Im not sure if these are helpful or not. These are pictures of the relays in the engine bay and the vandalock at the rear.

the vandalock will be the culprit.. those are designed so that the bus wont start unless the locks are in the Unlocked position. thus making it so the emergency doors are unlocked....

Believe me I wanted to try and keep it, these things were huge over head units and took up incredible amounts of space! Im sure it will be hot, but i dont have ac in my house "trailer" either, so i figured i would adapt or die!!!! Also as far as the vandalock system, i tried it in both positions and the bus wont start in the open or closed position. Im gonna keep going along the vandalock path, I was just making sure i didnt somehow disrupt the starting system by removing the electrical from the ac. Do you know if the vandalock system is fused or relayed anywhere? Ill dig more into it tomorrow.

Check this thread

Watch the video in this thread he goes through bypassing the entire system, and it's much easier than trying to figure it out without wiring diagrams. Hope this helps!
