odd wire leading to front of bluebird roof

The very front, top center of my bluebird has a low metal box that is part of the roof and on the inside has a wire (assume electrical but could be air as rubber). I put the styrofoam up over this wire, but have no idea what it even is - it isn't a light. Would like to know what it is, so I know if I need that wire. Any ideas? Hard to get a picture as bus covered in a giant tarp at the moment (well all winter). Thanks.
