Power Supply

SCORE! Amazon had this for sale at $403.29 + $49.40 S&H, but it wouldn't be available until the end of the month if I ordered it today.

I called Pierce RV Supercenter, which has one store local and asked their parts department. SURPRISE! They have one in stock (actually more) for $366.92 (no sales tax) and they'll hold it for me to pick up, no shipping or handling involved.

Hmmmm. Which one to purchase?

The 8900 Series has revolutionized RV Power Centers with it's lighter weight, decorative doors, and superior features. 8900 Series models provide a clean, constant 13.6 VDC output for reliable operation of electronics and appliances.

Automatic three-stage charging maintains the life of your battery with output voltages of 13.2 VDC "sleep" mode, 13.6 VDC nominal charge, and a 14.4 VDC " boost " charge. 8900 Series models also maintain peace and quiet, as the cooling fan runs only when needed. When the fan is running, it is so quiet it goes unnoticed.

FCC Class B approval for every power center model means the units do not cause interference with tv's, radios, and other signals. Electronic current limiting automatically shuts down power during overload or short circuit conditions, protecting the life of your power center and electrical system.

8900 Series models provide AC/DC distribution with innovative features. They can accommodate a 30-amp main AC circuit breaker and up to five branch circuits. Eleven-branch DC circuits are available with LED bulbs for each DC circuit to illuminate and identify open circuits .
